He takes into consideration all aspects of your dental health, from aesthetics to function. He works with you to achieve your goals with a treatment plan tailored to both oral health and aesthetic results.

Porcelain veneers can be used to correct a range of dental problems and cosmetic concerns:

  • Crooked teeth
  • Teeth that are discolored and will not respond to teeth whitening
  • Diastemas, gaps between teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Uneven teeth
  • Damaged teeth

Porcelain veneers are made of a high quality, ultra-thin ceramic material that reflects light, much like your natural teeth. They are comfortable, durable, and last for many years with good oral hygiene and dental care when placed by an experienced dentist.

Porcelain Veneers What to Expect

The porcelain veneers process begins with a consultation and treatment planning visit. Dr. O’Malley will examine your teeth and gums, discuss your cosmetic goals, and determine if there are any underlying dental problems that could impact your long-term result.

The next step is to prepare the teeth to be treated by removing a small amount of tooth surface. We remove only enough to accommodate a stable and secure fit. Once prepared, impressions will be taken for use in designing and fabricating your custom veneers.

In most cases, temporary veneers will be placed to protect the teeth and allow for normal function until your custom restorations are completed, usually in a couple of weeks.

Dr. O’Malley will place your restorations at your next visit. They will be adhered to your teeth and adjusted as needed for comfort and fit. The surface will then be polished and you can leave with a beautiful new smile.
